Jack and I left on Monday, February 1, for Miami to get on our cruise ship. We drove down to Miami in a monsoon rain storm. It rained so hard we could hardly see to drive on the Interstate. But once we got on the ship and left Miami, we had great weather.

The first stop was at Key West. The weather forecast was rain, but thank goodness we had a sunny warm day. We took the sightseeing train that took us all around the city with a couple stops. This is a good way to see all the highlights and save you a little walking. Last year when we were there, we walked most of it and it is much longer than you think. Did some shopping and looking around Duvall Street.

The next day we were at sea - to lay around the pool and do the activities on board the ship. At dinner, we had three couples at our table. It is a small world, as one of the couples at our table was from Popular Bluff, Missouri. But all the couples were very nice and we enjoyed eating and visiting with them each night.

Then on Thursday, we were at the Cayman Islands. This is a beautiful place. It has a Seven-Mile Beach that is luscious. We have been here before a few times so we didn't sign up for any excursions. We went to shore and walked around shopping and looking - then we hired a taxi to take us to Seven-Mile Beach to enjoy the sunshine and water. The water here is a beautiful turquoise color.

On Friday, we were at sea again. We decided we would play a little Bingo to pass the time. Well, would you believe that Jack won two pots!!! Yippee..... That was fun and help pay for our shopping. We have played a number of times but this is the first time we have won.

Then on Saturday we were back to Miami. As you know, the Super Bowl was played in Miami this year. Well, to say the least, there was traffic on the roads that day. We got caught up in traffic from an accident and it took us about 1- 1/2 hours to go about 3 miles. We were glad to get out of there after that. But overall we had a great time on the cruise!!

Last night we went to the park's soup supper. Had some wonderful soup and then stayed and played bingo - but we didn't win this time but our next-door neighbor (who was sitting at our table) won the big jackpot.
