Happy Memorial Day

Another week has passed and what have we got done?? Oh well, I guess that is retirement life.

Last Wednesday, Jack and I went to our granddaughter's, Emma, field day at school. We took some pictures. She had a great time with all the activities. She is the one in the white shirt and shorts.

Then we picked up Bronson (our 18-month grandson) to keep so his Mother could go to the salon for some highlights. We took him to McDonald's to eat and while we were there he got choked on some cookie. Scared us but I knew he was breathing as he was coughing and crying. I finally got him to get it up and when that happened, he said "All Done" as if to say don't feed me any more. We laughed and everybody around us did too. He is a cutie!!

Thursday my girlfriend, Dora, and I went out to so some shopping. We went to the Old Pottery Store. We love to go there at least a couple times a year to look, feel, and sometimes buy. We had a great time. Didn't really a lot but a few things. Got a new gazing ball for the garden. Now I have to find a stand for it. Every place I have been have been sold out.

Saturday we went out to Nebraska Furniture store to follow up on our mattress we bought about three years ago. It is not holding up at all and we need to get a replacement. Well, that will probably be a real process before we see the replacement - first you fill out an application; take pictures of the problem; then take all that back to the store; they will review and then determine if they need to come to look at it; well by the time we get a decision our backs will probably be broke!!

Sunday we went to church and learned that our associate pastor will be leaving the end of the month. But what a small world we live in - he is being transferred to Columbia, MO, where our good friends live. And is taking over their lead pastor position. Isn't that a hoot!!

The weather has been warm and rainy the last few days. We have had some storms but nothing too severe which is good. Our Missouri humidity has really jumped up this weekend. We broke down and turned on the air today.

Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day. Travel safe.

Emma is a doll.
So glad Bronson is ok. That's really scary when it's happening. Does he do the sign language when he says "all done." My girls taught their kids how to sign for "more" and "all done" and "thank you" because they couldn't stand that pointing and "uh, uh, uh" stage.

Glad you had fun with Emma. Kids sure know how to scare you at times. I figured that is why we have gray hair. It's all the kids fault. LOL!!! Take care. Glad to hear the storms haven't hit you.
