Summer is Coming

I started this blog yesterday so I will try to get it done today. LaVon, you will be proud as I actually added some pictures this time.

It is warming up around here. It was in the mid-80s over the weekend and is forecast to be around that most of this week. But hey, it is almost June. But of course, it is not near as warm as it is in Arizona or Texas!! It looked like it was around 105 in Phoenix today. Man, that is way too warm for me.

Over the weekend, we went to our oldest grandson, Zack, who is 13, baseball tournament. He played Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. We saw all his games. His team won second place in the tournament. He has improved so much from last year it is a real pleasure to watch him play. Youth baseball is my favorite sport. Emma, his sister, spend Saturday night with us so means we were busy keeping up with her.

Today we attended Zack's honor awards assembly. He was recognized for his academic achievements. He was in the Magna Cum Laude group. We are so proud of him. He is in the 7th grade, and this was his first year in Middle School, so we were really glad that he adjusted just fine.
Last week Jack worked on our front yard landscaping. He put a border around the shrubs and flowers. It looks real nice. We are scheduled to go to Emma's field day on Wednesday so I will try to remember the camera this time. Here are a couple of pictures of Jack's work and some of our flowers. They are so pretty this time of the year before it gets hot and dry.

Today - Tuesday - we had our youngest grandson, Bronson, for a trip to the park and back to our house. Here are a few pictures:

Great job, Cathy! Love the flowers pics. I had an Impatients like the pink one last year. They are so vivid... almost look fluorescent. Enjoy those grandkids!!
