Spring Storms in Kansas City

Friday morning (around 2:00 a.m.) the Kansas City area had terrible spring storms. We have made the national news with them. The suburbs of Gladstone & Liberty, Missouri had tornado damage. Luckily we did not have any in our neighborhood, but only about 5 miles north of us there was 20 homes destroyed and 200 damaged. I feel so sorry for the families that have been affected by them. Also, my sister lives in Gladstone and the damage over by her was terrible. The house she lived in before, where she raised her children, was damaged and some next to that was destroyed. We are very thankful that no one we know was affected this time. Our oldest son, Craig, had a window blown out of his house and their trampoline was moved over the fence. But that was it. It seems like every few years the Kansas City area is hit by storms in the worse way. Thank God for watching over our family and friends.

We have been busy around the house and going to some garage sales. Last night we had our granddaughter Emma. She spend the night and had fun with her. She is so good at games that she usually beats her grandparents and we don't let her. She loves any kind of games especially card games. This morning she had to leave early as this is her gymnastics day.

Been reading the blogs of our Quail Run friends and sounds like they are keeping busy. Hope they travel safe and miss all the spring storms.

That's just too close for comfort. All of a sudden, I want to talk to everyone on the phone... and I have no voice! Will have to settle with reading the blogs. Hi to Jack and Brandy and so thankful you all are ok.
