We have been trying to get things back in order since coming back from Florida. Finally got all the laundry caught up and got to the grocery store.
When we got back from Florida, Jack was out beside our house working with the water hose, and saw a nest of baby bunnies. They are so cute. They must have been there for a while as they are ready to leave the nest but we hadn't seen them. But if you could see this nest you would see why. The mother bunny had made a hole in the ground, but she had pulled the grass back over the front of it and you really couldn't see it if you were not looking for it. We never could get an actual count but at least six were in there. They were so cute. We had some of the lawn people come Friday to fertilize the grass, etc., but we told them not to come between the houses that we had baby bunnies and they didn't need that stuff on them!! Oh what old people do to occupy their time!! Yesterday they started leaving the nest. They would move to a new area, and then make a new little nest just for one of them. If you were not careful you would step on them. They look awful little to be leaving but I guess the Mama has taught them all she can. Hopefully they will make it out in the cruel world. Had a great telephone visit with DeAnn yesterday. We haven't been able to visit with each other that much since she has gone back to work. I miss our visits. Sounds like they had a heck of a day on the 13th. Hopefully that is all behind them. They were getting ready to have all the kids over today for Father's Day. We hope to be able to get to see each other one of these days.
Hope all the fathers have a great day!! We are going out to eat with our son today. Have a good week.
