Sunny in Florida

Jack and I flew to Florida yesterday. Had a good flight down. The weather is definitely warm and sunny!! Really so far it hasn't been that bad. It is in the low 90s and of course have humidity but there has been a nice breeze so it hasn't been too hot. We are staying at a resort on St. Pete's Beach which is nice. We have stayed here a couple times and it is right on the beach. We both like that - taking a walk on the beach is great!!

Here is a bird we saw on our walk down the beach this morning. We don't know what it is maybe some type of crane.




Today we drove down South of Tampa to look at some RV campgrounds that we might stay at next winter. We looked at five different ones. Found two we really liked. Hey, Shelley we looked at Cross Creek. This is a RV park that Bud and Shelley told us about while in Arizona. It is very nice and has a lot of amenities we liked. Another one we liked was called Riverside RV Park which is close to Port Charlotte. Jack really liked this one because it was right on the Peace River where he could fish every day. But they are already filled up for next winter.



We have another five more parks to look at on Friday. Hopefully we will be able to find one that we like and has the things we are looking for.


Today on the way back to St. Pete Beach, we were coming up I-75 from Port Charlotte and we came to a screening halt on the Interstate. They had a terrible accident on an overpass about 10 miles from where we came to a stop. They closed the Interstate both ways, and we sat in traffic and then took the detour through Bradenton town and it took us two hours to go about 35 miles. We were tired of sitting in the car all that time. But we got back to the beach to see the sun set and of course it was beautiful.


Tomorrow we are going to stay around the Beach and enjoy some the local sites.
